Last year for our first anniversary, we had a 7 week and 5 day old, sweet little boy...who was the best Anniversary present we could have asked for. But, because we didn't want to go to far from our sweet little bundle, we just stayed at home. This year he is 2 days from being a 14 month old running, energetic, babbling, hugging, little boy. So, we went out! We went to eat at French Quarter Cafe, where we hung out one time when we were "getting to know each other." So it holds a little special place in our hearts. We always get the Shrimp and Grits to pay homage to our reception. And if you were there, you know how amazing the shrimp and grits were, not to mention the whole reception. I even have some friends (you know who you are, "Kelly";)), who do not like S&G, and loved them at our reception. It was extra, but it was a gift to our guests, and man we were glad we added it to the list.

On our honeymoon
Last night: notice something similar? : )
We drank some beer, enjoyed our free time together, and then we made our way to the bar to play KENO! Ha, I know, sounds dumb. But, we did not want an agenda. We both just wanted to do whatever came to mind....and well this was it.
But, we got Caramel Macchiato's instead, with a double fudge brownie (not that great), and a coffee cake something or other (AMAZING!!!!) We made it home at 10:30, sat outside and drank some champagne. It was a great night!! Happy Anniversary to us!
